Key Qualifications:

A minimum EIPA score of 3.5 Previous experience as a Sign Language Interpreter within educational settings Proficiency in interpreting for students and collaborating with educational teams Ability to manage travel between 1-2 school sites (within 20 minutes of each other) Strong communication skills and the capacity to foster supportive learning environments

What Youll Do:

Provide interpretation services for a high school student, ensuring equitable access to classroom instruction, extracurriculars, and social interactions Facilitate understanding and communication among students, teachers, and staff using American Sign Language Adapt interpreting style to meet the diverse needs present within a school community Maintain professional standards of confidentiality and respect for student privacy Collaborate with staff to ensure seamless integration of services across school sites This contract position offers a consistent schedule at 16.25 hours per week, starting as soon as possible and continuing through June 15, 2027. The role centers on serving one student, with a focus on continuity and quality support during the school day.
