Near Olympia, WA, a part-time contract position is available for a dedicated professional with skills in Sign Language Interpreting and American Sign Language instruction. Youll play a key role helping a high school student achieve their academic goals, working collaboratively within a school community that values every learners voice.
Qualifications & Experience:
Hold an EIPA score of at least 3.5 Proficient in American Sign Language and experienced with educational interpreting Comfortable working with high school-aged students Demonstrated ability to support individualized learning and positive communication Previous school or educational experience highly valued
Role Highlights:
Part-time schedule: 16.25 hours per week, offering a flexible work-life balance Immediate start date, with the assignment continuing through June 15, 2027 Provide sign language interpretation for one high school student, ensuring full access to curriculum and school activities Travel required between 1-2 school sites within a 20-minute radius, maximizing your experience in diverse educational settings Collaborate closely with school staff, classroom teachers, and families to promote student engagement and academic success
