Job Description
KR8TIV Justice is seeking an experienced G&E for a one-day documentary shoot for Voices of the Vote, a youth journalism project featuring teen reporters across Los Angeles. The primary responsibility for this role will be lighting outdoor sit-down interviews with our teen reporters at one location. We are looking for someone experienced with shaping and controlling natural light and creating a polished, consistent documentary interview look outdoors.
Responsibilities include:
- Set up and manage lighting for outdoor sit-down interviews
- Shape and control natural light using lighting, diffusion, bounce, negative fill, and grip equipment
- Work closely with the DP to achieve the desired interview look
- Adjust lighting as daylight conditions change
- Set up, break down, and safely manage G&E equipment Ideal candidate:
- Strong experience lighting outdoor daytime interviews
- Comfortable working with changing natural-light conditions
- Has access to their own G&E/lighting equipment
