Job Description

The Roots and Wings Project seeks a lighting technician (or master electrician) & board operator for the world premiere of

REALM OF THE

RIVER, written and directed by Jesse Bliss, at the Rosenthal Theater at Inner-City Arts in Los Angeles. We're seeking a lighting technician or master electrician to: Hang and focus the production's lighting plot Complete Inner-City Arts' required certification course to operate the lift Work with our lighting designer and projectionist/programmer during tech week Operate the programmed lighting, projection, and audio cues during each performance through the production's show-control system Our current schedule is: Tech week: September 14-17, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (may or may not be needed the entire day, exact schedule TBD) Public performances: September 18-20 September 25-27 Friday and Saturday hours are 7:30 PM-10:00 PM; Sunday hours are at 1:30 PM-4:00 PM. Possible additional work dates, October 2-4. •If hired, technician MUST keep these dates open in case of the show's extension. These dates have not yet been publicly announced, so we ask that they remain confidential for now, and they are already included in the total compensation. The production is projection-heavy with a minimal scenic build. The lighting design and show programming will be handled by members of our existing creative team. We primarily need someone experienced and dependable who can execute the lighting hang and run the QLab programmed show cues during each performance.
