Minimum 3 years preferred Position Summary Bonbon Electric is seeking a professional and experienced LED Lighting Installer to join our electrical team. This individual will be responsible for measuring, estimating, laying out, and installing LED lighting systems while ensuring compliance with approved plans, manufacturer requirements, onsite conditions, and applicable electrical codes. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional who can identify potential installation challenges, recommend practical solutions, and complete high-quality work efficiently. Key Responsibilities Install LED strip lighting, recessed lighting, fixtures, drivers, transformers, dimmers, sensors, and lighting-control systems. Perform accurate onsite measurements and verify installation locations before work begins. Assist with material takeoffs, labor estimates, fixture counts, and project pricing. Review electrical plans, lighting layouts, specifications, and manufacturer instructions. Confirm that installations comply with applicable electrical codes and onsite requirements. Determine proper placement for LED channels, power supplies, drivers, wiring, and controls. Identify conflicts involving framing, cabinetry, drywall, architectural finishes, or other trades. Troubleshoot flickering, voltage drop, damaged components, wiring problems, and control-system issues. Test completed systems and verify proper operation, dimming, color temperature, and lighting consistency. Communicate field conditions, material shortages, design concerns, and required changes to project management. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Complete installations accurately and within the established project schedule. Qualifications Minimum three years of professional LED lighting or electrical installation experience preferred. Strong knowledge of low-voltage and line-voltage LED lighting systems. Ability to measure accurately and prepare material and labor estimates. Ability to read electrical plans, lighting schedules, and manufacturer specifications. Familiarity with electrical codes, jobsite safety requirements, and inspection standards. Experience installing LED channels, tape lighting, recessed fixtures, drivers, transformers, and lighting controls. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate professionally with project managers, contractors, homeowners, and other trades. Must be dependable, detail-oriented, organized, and committed to quality workmanship. Must have reliable transportation and the ability to travel between project locations. Physical Requirements Ability to work on ladders and elevated surfaces. Ability to lift and carry tools, fixtures, and materials. Ability to work in ceilings, attics, crawl spaces, and active construction environments. Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and perform detailed installation work for extended periods.
