Event Technician for Audio Video and Lighting Company

In The Mix Events is looking for part time in-person Event Technician to support event operations. We provide audio visual, lighting, draping, DJ's and photo booth services for a variety of events including weddings, galas, corporate presentations and fundraisers. We work as a cohesive team with other vendors in our local event community. This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, flexible, problem-solving, organized, hands-on, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly deadline based environment. The right person will help with warehouse organization, loading vehicles, setting up and troubleshooting audio, video and lighting and keeping operations running smoothly. Working hours include regular hours, weekends, late nights and some double shifts. Responsibilities Loading and unloading equipment vehicles Working on job sites in a team oriented environment Setup and operate equipment at various job sites in Ventura County Project a highly professional image to clients General technical proficiency required Qualifications Reliable, punctual, and consistent Previous event experience preferred Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Comfortable on ladders Able to work independently and follow instructions Comfortable with physical work and being on your feet Able to work under the pressure of firm deadlines Able to lift 50lbs, move boxes, equipment as needed Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset Enjoys hands-on work Takes pride in accurate and efficient work Schedule Schedule is based on each week's events and includes work during daytime, nights and weekends, some split shifts and days working into overtime hours.
