Overview Join our dynamic team as an A/V Manager, where you'll lead the planning, execution, and management of audio-visual technology for a vibrant entertainment venue. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee cutting-edge A/V systems, collaborate with event teams, and ensure seamless technical operations that elevate guest experiences. As a key player in our hospitality environment, you'll combine technical expertise with exceptional customer service to create memorable events and performances. Your leadership will help us deliver top-tier entertainment while maintaining efficient operations and innovative solutions. Responsibilities Oversee the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of all audio-visual equipment for live events, performances, and private functions. Coordinate with event planners, clients, and internal teams to understand technical requirements and deliver tailored A/V solutions. Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for equipment rentals, maintenance services, and technical support. Develop detailed event plans including timelines, budgets, and technical specifications to ensure smooth execution. Lead a team of technicians and support staff during events, providing guidance on technical procedures and safety protocols. Monitor and manage event budgets related to A/V equipment, staffing, and supplies to maximize efficiency without compromising quality. Utilize event management software and CRM systems to track bookings, client preferences, and service histories for continuous improvement. Upsell additional services such as enhanced sound systems or lighting options to increase revenue opportunities. Maintain inventory records of all A/V equipment; oversee regular maintenance, upgrades, and repairs to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate on marketing efforts by providing technical insights for promotional events or campaigns that showcase our venue's capabilities. Requirements Proven experience managing audio-visual systems in hospitality venues such as restaurants, hotels, or event spaces. Strong knowledge of A/V technology including sound systems, lighting rigs, video projection, and control software. Excellent negotiation skills for vendor contracts and upselling opportunities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; experience with event management software and CRM systems is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to manage budgets effectively while maintaining high-quality standards. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple events simultaneously under tight deadlines. Outstanding communication skills for client interactions, team leadership, and cross-department collaboration. Technical certifications or training in audio engineering or related fields are a plus. Experience in hospitality industry settings such as restaurants or banquet halls will be advantageous. Strong customer service orientation combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving ensures guest satisfaction at every event.
