Job Description

- Members of the Student Technical Crew are responsible for assisting with the set-up and tear-down of Lied Center events, including hanging and focusing lights, moving curtains, loading and unloading counterweight arbors, setting up and striking acoustical shells and large music ensembles, laying dance floors, and loading and unloading equipment. 25
- Students will assist with the operation of technical systems during events, including running lighting consoles, setting up and running audio systems, operating cameras, and running video projections. 15
- Students will provide stage and production support, working alongside professional staff to ensure successful execution of professional music, dance, theatrical tours, university ensemble performances, organizational events, and community events. 10
- Students will help maintain and repair equipment, including changing lamps, repairing cables, maintaining technical systems, and supporting the upkeep of facility equipment. 10
- Students will work as part of a 50+ member technical crew team, meeting deadlines, participating in training, completing general production tasks as assigned, and otherwise supporting the technical aspects of the facility under the supervision of full-time technical staff. 5
- Students will assist with costume and production area support, including laundering and pressing costumes and helping maintain clean and organized production spaces.
