$30-$40+ per hour based on experience and ability About Diamond Permanent Lighting Diamond Permanent Lighting is a growing exterior lighting company specializing in professionally installed permanent outdoor lighting systems for residential properties throughout the Hudson Valley and surrounding areas. We are building our first dedicated installation crew and are looking for an experienced, dependable Lead Installer who takes pride in high-quality work and is capable of eventually running installations independently. This is not a general labor position. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working on residential rooflines and can deliver clean, professional installations on customers' homes. Previous permanent outdoor lighting experience is strongly preferred. Experience with professional Christmas/holiday lighting, low-voltage lighting, roofing, gutters, soffit/fascia, siding, solar, or similar exterior trades will also be considered. What You'll Do Lead a two-person permanent outdoor lighting installation crew Install permanent LED lighting systems along residential rooflines, soffits, fascia and other approved mounting locations Measure and plan installations before beginning work Maintain straight, consistent and professional light placement Route and conceal wires and extensions cleanly Install and organize controllers, power supplies and related components Safely use extension ladders and other access equipment Troubleshoot lighting and installation issues Protect customers' homes, landscaping and property throughout the installation Communicate professionally with homeowners Test completed systems before leaving the property Walk customers through basic operation of their new lighting system Take before-and-after photos and document completed work Direct and work alongside a second installer Maintain tools, equipment and an organized work vehicle

What We're Looking For Required:

Valid driver's license Reliable transportation Comfortable working on ladders and at heights Previous experience in an exterior trade, lighting installation, construction, roofing, gutters, siding, solar or similar hands-on field Strong attention to detail Ability to use hand and power tools safely Professional communication with customers and coworkers Dependable and punctual Ability to work independently and solve problems in the field Willingness to follow Diamond Permanent Lighting's installation and quality standards

Strongly Preferred:

Previous permanent outdoor lighting installation experience Professional Christmas/holiday lighting installation experience Govee Permanent Outdoor Lights experience Experience leading another installer or small field crew Experience operating appropriate access equipment where properly trained/authorized Our Standard We are not looking for rushed or "good enough" installations. Our customers are paying for a professional finished product. Lighting runs must be straight and consistent, wiring must be routed cleanly, the property must be protected, and the completed system must look professionally installed. Attention to detail matters. Compensation & Opportunity Starting compensation is expected to be $30-$40+ per hour , depending on relevant experience, leadership ability and demonstrated installation skills. Strong performers will have an opportunity to take on additional responsibility as Diamond Permanent Lighting grows, including crew leadership and future management opportunities. We intend to build multiple installation crews as the company expands. Hiring Process Qualified candidates will complete an initial interview followed by a paid hands-on skills evaluation .
