Lighting Designer for a club

Soho Live is looking for an experienced Production & Lighting Designer to help bring our venue experience to life. We're seeking someone with a strong background in live event production, lighting design, sourcing fixtures, installation coordination, and lighting programming. This role is ideal for someone who can take ownership of the full lighting production process — from concept and equipment sourcing to setup, programming, and ongoing optimization. We are flexibale on working hours and can accommodate someone with other time constrains. Responsibilities Design and execute lighting concepts for live entertainment and venue experiences Source lighting fixtures, control systems, and production equipment within budget Coordinate and oversee lighting installation and setup Program lighting scenes, cues, and effects for events and daily operations Work closely with management and creative teams to enhance the guest experience Troubleshoot and maintain lighting systems as needed Recommend upgrades and improvements for production quality and efficiency Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and technicians Technical & Software Knowledge Experience with lighting control software and consoles such as GrandMA, ETC, Chamsys, or similar systems Strong understanding of DMX programming, signal flow, and networked lighting systems Familiarity with visualization and design software such as Capture, Vectorworks, WYSIWYG, or Lightwright Experience integrating lighting with audio, video, and show control systems Ability to program intelligent lighting fixtures, moving heads, pixel mapping, and automated scenes Comfortable working with live production technology, troubleshooting systems, and adapting setups in real time Qualifications Proven experience in live event production and lighting design Strong knowledge of lighting fixtures, DMX systems, controllers, and programming software Experience sourcing and purchasing production equipment Ability to manage installations and technical setups Understanding of venue operations and live entertainment environments Strong organizational and communication skills Preferred Experience Experience working in nightlife, hospitality, entertainment, or live performance venues Familiarity with intelligent lighting systems and automated programming Experience with audio/visual integration is a plus

Pay:

$3,500.00 - $6,500.00 per month
