None Summary:

This position is a traveling position based out of the MainStage Houston Office. This position Works primarily, but not exclusively, on construction sites. Provides on-site system commissioning for lighting systems as well as in-house and on-site repairs of lighting equipment. Ideal candidates will be willing to learn new technology, adapt to rapidly changing situations, exhibit professionalism and communicate effectively. Installations may require that the technician work at heights and may call for the use of safety and fall protection equipment. The lighting technician is to ensure work always meets the highest quality and safety standards as set forth by Mainstage, OSHA, PLASA, USITT, ETCP and any local, regional, or national board or institution with jurisdiction over the installation. Installers must possess and maintain a valid driver license

Extensive Travel required Arrive to jobsite/office on time Pass required security clearances and background checks as necessary Ability to pass Employment drug test and future random drug testing Basic Math Skills - including addition, subtraction, division and multiplication, fractions Ability to lift 75lbs unassisted Comfortable with work at heights of 10+ feet regularly Ability to pass a DOT physical Obtain OSHA 10 construction safety course (costs paid by employer) Ability to take direction and do work as directed when instructed Obtain first aid, CPR, and BBP training (costs paid by employer) Maintain a presentable appearance with clients Ability to work outdoors in harsh weather conditions when required as well as unconditioned indoor construction spaces

Preferred Skills:

Previous experience in stage lighting Ability to properly land and RJ45 and DMX connections Ability to properly hang a stage light per provided plot Ability to load, assemble, and dismantle scaffolding Ability to operate personal lifts and material handling equipment

Compensation :

Competitive pay rate with time and a half for overtime for over 40 hours worked per week. Mainstage standard benefits include holiday pay, paid time off and insurance availability. This position is provided a per diem for food; transportation and hotel costs are covered by MainStage.
