Job Description

We are looking for a dependable, hardworking Outdoor Lighting Technician to join our growing team in N. Richland Hills. This is a hands-on, outdoor position installing, servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining residential and commercial outdoor lighting systems throughout the DFW area. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, is comfortable working outdoors and at heights, can communicate professionally with customers, and can work independently once trained. If you're mechanically inclined, enjoy working with your hands, and want to learn a skilled trade, we'd like to hear from you. What You'll Do Install outdoor low-voltage lighting systems Dig and trench for underground wiring Install and position lighting fixtures Run and connect low-voltage wiring Service, repair, and troubleshoot existing lighting systems Diagnose lighting problems and make necessary repairs Climb and work from ladders up to 32 feet Use hand tools and power tools Load and unload tools, equipment, and materials Drive a company vehicle to job sites and customer properties Communicate professionally with customers Complete daily paperwork, service tickets, and job documentation Keep the work area and company vehicle clean and organized Follow company installation and safety procedures Work independently and efficiently to complete assigned jobs
What We're Looking For Required:
Valid Texas driver's license Good driving record Bilingual English/Spanish Comfortable climbing ladders up to 32 feet Comfortable working outdoors in Texas weather Able to perform physical work including digging, trenching, lifting, bending, kneeling, and climbing Able to safely use hand and power tools Reliable and punctual Professional and respectful with customers and coworkers Able to complete paperwork accurately Able to follow instructions and work independently Experience That Is a Plus You do not have to have previous outdoor lighting experience. We would especially like to hear from candidates with experience in: Outdoor/landscape lighting Low-voltage electrical work Electrical Irrigation Landscaping Construction HVAC Pool service Cable/telecommunications Other residential service or installation trades We're willing to train the right person who has the right attitude, work ethic, and mechanical ability. Physical Requirements This is an active, physically demanding outdoor job.
You must be able to:
Climb ladders up to 32 feet Dig and trench Lift and carry tools, equipment, fixtures, and materials Bend, kneel, squat, crawl, and work in various positions Stand and walk for extended periods Work outdoors in hot and changing weather conditions
Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
