Garden Center Specialist & Floor Associate Store-wide (Garden Center, Power Equipment, and/or Florist — with a focus on Garden Center and ability to be sole specialist on duty) Reports to Manager on Duty Year-round Position Summary The Power Tools Specialist is the go-to expert for our outdoor power equipment line — chainsaws, string trimmers, lawn mowers, etc. You will work across sales, service coordination and inventory management. Garlands is an authorized dealer for Husqvarna, Echo, and others, as well as an authorized service center. This role has deep product knowledge about how to use the outdoor power equipment we sell as well as how to get the right parts for the equipment from our extensive network of distributors. What You'll Do Sell and demonstrate power equipment; advise customers on the right product for their needs Maintain product knowledge across all carried brands, including new model updates Manage inventory levels, floor displays, and stock organization for the department Coordinate with the service department on repairs, warranty work, and customer pickups/drop-offs Support seasonal readiness (spring rush, snow season) for equipment availability Help maintain the dealer standards required to keep our authorized-dealer status in good standing Experience and Skills Required Experience with outdoor power equipment sales, service, or a related mechanical field Strong customer service skills and comfort with technical product conversations Ability to lift and move equipment as part of daily duties Likes to maintain cleanliness and keep physical spaces organized Willingness to pursue brand-specific training or certifications as needed Comfort with utilizing software and computers to ensure smooth operations of repairs and parts orders

Pay:

$17.50 - $21.50 per hour
