- Position Overview We are seeking a Lighting Applications Specialist to join our dynamic team.
- Key Responsibilities
Lighting Design & Layouts:
o Develop lighting layouts using AGi32 to meet project requirements and code compliance. o Interpret architectural and electrical plans to develop lighting solutions.Technical Support & Consultation:
o Provide technical assistance to specifiers, contractors, distributors, and internal sales staff regarding product selection, code compliance, energy calculations, and control strategies. o Offer recommendations for product applications based on lighting performance, aesthetics, and budget.Training & Development:
o Stay current on industry trends, codes (e.g., Title 24, ASHRAE 90.1), and product updates. o Participate in manufacturer trainings and share knowledge with the team.- Qualifications
Education:
o Associate or Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering, Lighting Design, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred but not required.Experience:
o 2+ years of experience in lighting design, lighting sales support, or related technical role preferred but not required. o Experience with lighting design software (AGi32, Visual, Revit, AutoCAD) preferred but not required.Skills:
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. o Excellent written and verbal communication. o Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. o Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).- Preferred Certifications (not required):
- LC (Lighting Certified
- NCQLP)
- LEED Accreditation
- IES Membership or other lighting industry affiliations
