SUMMARY:
Theater Event Techs support essential technical functions for events in District Performing Arts Centers. Workers may support Box Office, Event Management (Front of House), or Technical Operations, based on interest, availability, and skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
may include the following: Other duties as assigned.
Technical Operations:
As directed - Support technical preparations for events, including proper equipment, systems, and stage space. Operate technical equipment during events. May include safe use of sound, lighting, rigging, projection, or other equipment. Support backstage operations during events. Respond to unforeseen and emergency needs of users within established SPASD safety protocols.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Education and Experience High School Diploma Bachelor's degree in Technical Theatre or equivalent of 3 years technical theatre experience Valid driver's license Knowledge in one or more of: ETC Lighting Systems, Yamaha Audio, Basic Rigging operation and Qlab preferred
