This role is pivotal in shaping the team's competitive future, aligning closely with the club's philosophy and playing style to build a sustainable pipeline of talent. The Director of Scouting will bring a strategic mindset, blending traditional scouting expertise with modern analytical approaches to unearth talent that aligns with the club's vision. This role demands a proactive leader who can build a global scouting infrastructure, foster relationships with key football stakeholders, and ensure CT United FC remains at the forefront of player recruitment. The Director of Scouting will play a critical role in crafting a long-term talent acquisition strategy that supports both immediate roster needs and future squad development. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement a comprehensive scouting strategy to identify high-potential players at local, national, and international levels. Conduct detailed assessments of prospective players, analyzing technical, tactical, physical, and psychological attributes. Build and maintain a network of scouts, agents, and football professionals to gather intelligence on emerging talent. Integrate advanced analytics and performance data to inform scouting decisions and player comparisons. Work closely with the Sporting Director and coaching staff to align scouting priorities with the club's strategic goals. Provide detailed scouting reports, player rankings, and video analyses to support recruitment decisions. Ensure all scouting activities adhere to league regulations and club policies. Build and maintain an up-to-date scouting database. Qualifications Proven experience in a scouting or player recruitment role, preferably within a professional soccer environment. Strong knowledge of global soccer markets and talent pipelines. Proficiency with scouting software and performance analysis tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. High attention to detail with good planning skills. Self-starter, confident, positive and proactive. Ability to work in a fast-paced, always-on environment. Ability to travel extensively and work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays. Have advanced knowledge in USA soccer landscape (MLSNP, USL, College soccer and MLSNEXT)
