Miami Christmas Lights (MCL) is seeking a highly operational, systems-driven leader to take full ownership of the company's inventory systems, warehouse operations, logistics coordination, refurbishment processes, and light production activities. This is not a traditional warehouse management role. The Director of Inventory Systems & Production Operations is responsible for creating operational certainty across the company. This role owns the physical operational truth of MCL — ensuring leadership, sales, customer success, and field operations always know exactly what inventory exists, where it is located, what condition it is in, what is available for sale, and what is allocated to future projects. The successful candidate will build scalable systems, eliminate operational chaos, and create a warehouse and production operation capable of supporting aggressive company growth without requiring executive oversight in day-to-day inventory operations. This role requires someone who has previously built or reorganized warehouse, inventory, logistics, or production systems from the ground up and can independently create structure, accountability, and operational discipline. In addition to inventory and logistics ownership, this role will oversee refurbishment and small-scale domestic production operations, building and managing a small team responsible for assembly, refurbishment, staging, packaging, and production support. Core Responsibilities Inventory Systems & Warehouse Operations Build and maintain a highly organized warehouse and inventory management system Implement scalable SKU structures, labeling systems, storage standards, and operational workflows Maintain real-time inventory visibility and inventory accuracy across all departments Ensure all inventory is properly tracked, categorized, staged, and accounted for Conduct recurring inventory audits and cycle counts Design warehouse layouts optimized for operational efficiency, production flow, and seasonal scalability Create and enforce warehouse SOPs, organization standards, and operational discipline Develop systems that eliminate dependency on tribal knowledge and memory-based operations Logistics & Project Fulfillment Coordinate inventory allocation, staging, and delivery for installation projects Ensure the correct products are delivered to the correct projects on time and in proper condition Reduce missing inventory, emergency deliveries, fulfillment failures, and operational delays Collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Success, and Field Operations to align inventory availability with project schedules Maintain operational readiness during peak seasonal demand and large-scale installations Refurbishment & Production Operations Build and manage refurbishment workflows for lighting, décor, and operational inventory Oversee small-scale domestic production, assembly, and fabrication operations Develop quality control standards, production workflows, assembly procedures, and operational documentation Manage material flow, production scheduling, operational readiness, and production efficiency Ensure refurbished and produced products meet MCL quality standards before deployment Build, train, and manage a small warehouse/refurbishment/production team (1-4 employees) Facility, Property & Equipment Management Oversee the management, maintenance, organization, and operational readiness of all MCL facilities, warehouses, yards, and operational properties Manage warehouse leases, facility vendors, service providers, and property-related operational needs Coordinate facility repairs, preventative maintenance, and operational improvement projects Ensure company-owned properties are properly maintained, secured, and operationally functional Oversee fleet management activities including vehicle maintenance, repairs, registrations, cleanliness, organization, and operational readiness Maintain accountability for company tools, trailers, lifts, machinery, equipment, and operational assets Develop systems for tracking equipment usage, maintenance schedules, inspections, and asset condition Coordinate with leadership on warehouse expansion, facility optimization, and operational infrastructure planning Operational Leadership & Reporting Develop reporting systems and operational KPIs for inventory, fulfillment, warehouse, production, fleet, and facility performance Identify operational inefficiencies and implement process improvements across all operational infrastructure Maintain a culture of accountability, urgency, organization, cleanliness, safety, and operational excellence Operate independently with minimal executive oversight while maintaining strong communication and operational visibility for leadership Requirements Qualifications Required Experience 5+ years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics, manufacturing, production operations, or related operational leadership roles Must have personally built, reorganized, or implemented warehouse or inventory systems within a scaling or disorganized environment Experience managing operational workflows, inventory accuracy, and fulfillment processes Experience leading small operational or production teams Strong systems-thinking and process improvement capabilities Preferred Experience Experience in seasonal operations, event production, lighting, fabrication, construction supply, or custom manufacturing environments Experience with Zoho CRM, inventory management systems, or ERP platforms Experience building operational dashboards, KPIs, and reporting systems Skills & Competencies Strong operational leadership and accountability management High attention to detail and organizational discipline Strong inventory control and logistics coordination capabilities Experience building scalable operational systems and workflows Ability to operate independently with minimal oversight Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Comfortable balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills Benefits 401K Growth opportunities Bonuses Family oriented work environment
