The Assistant Grady Auditorium Production Manager/Theater Operations Director will: Assist in the training of students in the operations of both of the district theater spaces (Grady Theater & the MS Auditorium), including stage lighting, theater/event audio, projections, and theater rigging.
Collaborate with the Grady Auditorium Production Manager & Theater Operations Director to create scheduling and engage in the operations of the aforementioned theater spaces and their equipment for school events using the theaters. (
Collaborate with the Grady Auditorium Production Manager & Theater Operations Director to approve or deny theater/auditorium facilities usage requests submitted through the district facilities scheduling program (currently School Dude) based on the available staffing coverage capabilities for such events.
Provide back-up technical support for the MS Musical program, working with the musical director, assistant director, and their performance staffs to help when needed with scenic design and construction, performance lighting, performance audio, and theater rigging.
If determined through collaboration with the GAPS Manager/Theater Operations Director to be possible (based on both technical and staffing capabilities), the position includes responsibilities for supervising technical crews for events by outside groups renting the theater facilities (i.e. KP community town meetings, local dance school recitals, VanPool meetings, etc.). These may be a part of the positions responsibilities at the agreed upon additional hourly pay rates published in the Facilities Rental Fee Matrix only if determined to be feasible by the Grady Auditorium Production Manager/Theater Operations Director.
Assist in overseeing the maintenance & upkeep of theatrical lighting, audio, and rigging systems/equipment and both of the physical theater spaces in conjunction with the District Facilities Manager, the District Business Manager, both Building Head Custodians, and the various approved specialist theatrical repair & supply vendors.

POSITION PURPOSE
The Assistant Grady Auditorium Production Manager & Theater Operations Director supports the district. General duties are described below.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Other duties may be assigned as prearranged with the Assistant GAPS Manager/Theater Operations Director.The Assistant Grady Auditorium Production Manager/Theater Operations Director will: Assist in the training of students in the operations of both of the district theater spaces (Grady Theater & the MS Auditorium), including stage lighting, theater/event audio, projections, and theater rigging.

NOTE:
