Job Description

The Production Director is responsible for the creation of all promotional announcements, public service announcements, underwriting spots, and any other pre-recorded message supporting the student-led Falcon Media Sports Network on WBGU-FM and Falcon Radio. The Production Director is also responsible for training and scheduling board operations. Career Readiness Competencies Seek feedback from supervisors and apply it to improve performance. Oversee creation and deployment of all promotional announcements, public service announcements, underwriting spots, and any other pre-recorded message supporting the Falcon Media Sports Network. The Production Director's duties include but are not exclusive to, writing and engineering on-air promotional announcements, creating Underwriting spots, uploading new PSA's and promos and helping keep content fresh on-air. This includes management of all news content. Training for live broadcast board operations Working with Sports Content Director to ensure all live broadcasts have sufficient board operation and in-studio support Responsible for maintaining the content in the ENCO system, including the deletion of files and folders and moving files as needed between folders. Meets weekly with Sports Content Director Serve as liaison with the Engineering department to keep the stations in proper working order One year of experience with sports audio production Preferably a media production & studies, journalism, public relations or VCT major Leadership, managerial and organizational skills Strong background in broadcasting, social media or audio production
Minimum GPA:
2.25 This role requires approximately 8 to 10 hours per week during each semester with flexibility to align with academic schedule
Stipend:
$1,900 annually, intended to support educational learning outcomes. This internship is eligible for academic credit with approval from student's program/college.
