Based in Nashville, Tennessee and reporting to the Director, Commercial Partnerships, Universal Music Canada, the Manager, Commercial Partnerships will oversee Universal Music Canada's social strategy across our entire domestic roster, developing and consistently optimizing social plans that amplify key moments within an artist timeline, while also using data to uncover key areas of opportunity for our artists in the social space. This role is UMC's expert on social accounts and acts as a champion for our artists globally within the social media space. The role will also serve as a Nashville extension of the Commercial Partnerships team based in Toronto and is expected to act as a local resource for UMC. This includes providing on-the-ground support for domestic artists, attending industry events, and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
How You'll CREATE:
Lead social media strategy for UMC Canada's domestic artist roster, overseeing planning, execution, performance analysis, and ongoing optimization across key markets. Manage and optimize artist social accounts, ensuring profiles are accurate, strategically aligned, and effectively support artist development and campaign objectives. Identify and leverage commercial partnership opportunities, collaborating with artists, platforms, and stakeholders to drive promotional, marketing, and business development initiatives. Use data and analytics to uncover audience growth opportunities, measure campaign performance, and provide actionable insights that improve results. Provide social media expertise and strategic guidance to marketing, artist, and management teams, identifying key moments and opportunities within artist campaigns and release cycles. Develop and maintain relationships with social platform partners and global counterparts, sharing best practices, campaign learnings, and emerging digital trends. Support continuous improvement of social processes and capabilities through reporting, knowledge sharing, and ongoing learning across teams. Serve as UMC's Nashville representative, building and maintaining strong relationships across the local music community, including artists, management, industry stakeholders, and partners. Act as a key liaison between the Nashville and Canadian music communities, facilitating connections and supporting collaboration opportunities for UMC artists and teams. Help coordinate and support artist, partner, corporate, and industry events in Nashville, including showcases, conferences, activations, and networking opportunities that advance UMC Canada's strategic priorities.
