Job Description

Position Summary The Worship Production and Media Director supports the mission of First Immanuel Lutheran Church and School by overseeing worship production, digital communications, and creative media. This position is responsible for the technical excellence of worship services while communicating the church's mission, ministries, and events through digital and print media. Working collaboratively with pastors, ministry leaders, staff, musicians, and volunteers, this individual leads worship production, livestreaming, website management, social media, graphic design, photography, videography, and ministry communications to create engaging worship experiences and strengthen connections with members, visitors, students, and the community. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Worship Production Coordinate all technical aspects of worship services and special events, including audio, video, lighting, projection, livestreaming, and presentation systems. Prepare or oversee preparation of worship presentations, including song lyrics, sermon graphics, announcements, and multimedia. Conduct technical rehearsals and system checks to ensure a high-quality worship experience. Provide production support for weddings, funerals, concerts, conferences, and other ministry events. Media & Communications Produce and oversee livestreams, recordings, promotional videos, and other digital media. Maintain and update the church and school websites with current information, events, registrations, and ministry resources. Manage social media platforms by creating and scheduling engaging content that supports ministry initiatives. Design print and digital communications, including worship graphics, event promotions, brochures, flyers, and other branded materials. Collaborate with ministry leaders to develop and implement effective communication strategies and maintain communication calendars. Volunteer & Technology Leadership Recruit, train, schedule, and support volunteers serving in production and media ministries. Maintain production equipment, digital media assets, and technology systems. Coordinate equipment maintenance, recommend technology improvements, and assist with production and media budgeting. Ensure responsible stewardship of all production and technology resources. Qualifications A growing Christian faith and commitment to the mission of First Immanuel Lutheran Church and School. Bachelor's degree in Communications, Media Production, Graphic Design, Worship Technology, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Experience in church or nonprofit communications, worship production, or media ministry preferred. Proficiency with audio, video, lighting, livestream, presentation, and website management systems. Experience with graphic design, photography, videography, and social media management. Working knowledge of software such as ProPresenter, Planning Center, Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, and similar applications. Availability to work weekend hours and occasional evenings as required to support worship services, rehearsals, and ministry events. Excellent communication, organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively with staff and volunteers.
Pay:
$50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
