Job Description

Under the direction of the Executive Director and in accordance with Association policies, the Sports Director is responsible for the planning, development, supervision and administration of Sports programming and Youth & Family initiatives. Those programs include, but are not limited to: Youth Sports Leagues, clinics, classes and sports special events, Parent/Child sports classes, Summer Sports Clinics, Birthday Parties, Family Nights, and Special Family Events. The Sports Director will oversee the development and implementation of innovative curriculum and activities, supervise, develop, coach and train staff to ensure that participant's development occurs in a fun, healthy and safe environment, and ensure program outcomes are consistently achieved. Typical work week may include early morning, late afternoon, weeknights, and Saturdays.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Must be able to relate well to children and adults and must have the ability to multi-task. The candidate should have a positive history of leadership in the areas of staff, volunteer, and program development, fiscal budgeting and management, and good written and verbal communication skills. First Aid, CPR, AED Training will be required, and provided as part of the onboarding process.
