Job Description
Strada Studios - Seasonal School Photographer $20-$25/hr | Part-Time, Seasonal | Ongoing Sports Work Available We're looking for reliable, detail-oriented people with a friendly, outgoing personality to join our team for the upcoming school photo season. This is a fast-paced, people-focused role — you'll be working directly with students and school staff every day, so how you show up matters as much as your photography skills. This role is a great fit if you: Show up on time, every time — no exceptions, since we're on tight school schedules Have a naturally warm, easygoing way with kids and staff (you can get a shy 2nd grader to smile in 10 seconds or less) Notice the small stuff — a crooked collar, a stray hair, a slightly off pose — and fix it without being asked Can stay focused and consistent through repetitive, high-volume shooting Are comfortable operating a camera (no manual mode expertise needed — we provide full training on our equipment, lighting, and workflow) This role is NOT a good fit if you: Need consistent full-time hours or income Are looking for creative/artistic photography freedom (this is structured, production-style work) Aren't comfortable interacting with kids and school staff all day What You'll Do Photograph school portraits and sports teams in a structured, high-volume environment Guide students through simple poses and expressions quickly and warmly Set up and operate studio lighting (full training provided) Maintain consistent pacing and image quality all day, every day Represent Strada Studios professionally on school campuses What We're Looking For Basic comfort operating a camera (no manual mode experience required — we train you) Proven reliability — this is non-negotiable in a school environment A genuinely friendly, patient, outgoing personality Strong attention to detail Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to pass a school district background check Schedule & Work Style Seasonal peak: August - October Work begins the first week of August; mandatory paid training day in July (date provided after hiring) Primarily weekday mornings during school hours, occasional afternoons for sports We continue supporting schools with sports and select events through the school year on a reduced, flexible schedule
