KSEE24 and CBS47 is accepting qualified applicants for a full-time Lifestyle Photographer. If you're a passionate and talented videographer and producer ready to make a meaningful impact in a team environment, we encourage you to apply with your portfolio/reel today! The Lifestyle Photographer will work directly with the Senior Creative Producer and report directly to the General Manager. This role is responsible for shooting segments for local lifestyle shows, as well as producing and editing short- and long-form video content. Community partner events and lifestyle shows will be a priority in this position. This position regularly interacts with sales staff, local businesses, news talent and staff, and community partners. This is not an entry-level position. An online link to recent work samples is required when applying.
Experience:
3-4 years of related academic or professional experience. Broadcast or creative marketing agency experience is preferred. College degree is preferred.
Job Description:
Regularly-scheduled shooting of show packages, lifestyle show interviews on location, shooting and editing of community partner videos as needed Collaborate with creative team to produce videos and digital content that are on-brand and drive results Write, direct, light, shoot, and edit spots, from concept to completion, to create successful marketing messages for local direct and regional commercials and station promotions, for both broadcast and digital platforms, under guidance of senior producers Manage multiple projects simultaneously with short deadlines, frequent changes in direction and priority Work independently as well as part of a team Manage video equipment and software needs Extensive shooting and scripting of both short and long form spots from concept to completion Perform other duties, as directed by management Requirements & Skills Meet all deadlines, fulfill scheduling commitments and consistently achieve quick turnarounds in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment Minimum 3-4 years commercial and/or promotion experience, or college degree preferred Strong understanding video/digital file formats, color correction, knowledge of codecs and aspect ratios for exporting and rendering projects for TV and print Advanced knowledge of High-definition (HD and 4k) cameras and videography, motion graphics and proper lighting techniques Strong understanding of fundamental design, a strong sense of color, typography, and composition Must maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record as some travel may be required for commercial shoots and production meetings with advertisers of the station Software skills required include Adobe CC Suite production package including; Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Audition and Media Encoder Occasional early morning, weekend or evening shifts may be required for event set-up, or commercial, local show or promotional shoots Must join IBEW Union $24+ per hour commensurate on on experience and skill set.
