Overview Looking for one individual who has experience shooting outdoor family portraits and outdoor couples portraits. This role does not include any client facing work and no editing. You show up to the location and shoot anywhere from 30-60 minutes but will always be paid for the full hour of work. Professional, up-to-date camera equipment is required for this position. Applicants must own and maintain equipment that meets current industry standards. Outdated or entry-level camera systems will not qualify. We have a team of photographers scattered around the Bay Area and I would really like someone in town who can get to shoots quickly. Opportunity to shoot outside of Santa Cruz occasionally. Duties Operate and maintain photography lighting equipment and accessories to achieve desired artistic effects Arrive early, dressed business casual, with a positive and warm attitude Be a leader-take control of the photoshoot in order to direct clients and make them feel comfortable Read the room- know when someone has had enough, when they need more guidance, when kids needs break, when a couple needs a few minutes to gather themselves (emotional proposals) Upload RAW files within 24hrs Occasionally have 5 minute phone calls with clients to ensure you both are on the same page on meeting location- for proposals. Experience Proven experience in portrait photography with a strong portfolio demonstrating shot composition, lighting techniques, and post-production skills Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere; familiarity with Capture One and Final Cut Pro is a plus Knowledge of color theory, image processing, photo manipulation, and art direction principles Experience with videography, filming techniques, visual storytelling, and social media management strategies Ability to operate commercial drones safely for aerial videography flight operations in compliance with regulations Strong client communication skills with the ability to understand and translate their vision into compelling imagery Familiarity with photography lighting equipment and photography gear maintenance is essential This is a long-term position with opportunities to grow into leadership roles. More hours available if you like videography and would like to film iPhone content ($40/hr for this role).

Pay:

$100.00 - $150.00 per hour
