Please note this position will be at the Yuengling Center Job Summary This position values guests and is committed to providing a positive impression with World Class Service. It is a behind the scenes position that requires handling of all arena and conversion equipment. Candidates should be polite, friendly, and able to follow direction easily. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for set up and tear down of various events, such as hockey, basketball, concerts, which involves dasher boards, glass, staging, tales, chairs, etc Work cooperatively with all staff members Maintain a clean and neat appearance during work hours Assure the health, safety, and security of co-workers and guest by following all safety procedures and rules and OSHA standards Monitor and report to the manager any discrepancies, damage, loss of property, and safety concerns All other duties as assigned Qualifications Effective written and oral communication skills Prior guest service experience a plus Good time management skills Excellent attention to detail Excellent attendance Ability to multitask and take direction well Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure Working Conditions Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time, walk long distances and climb stairs. Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely in the English language Ability to work in areas that can become crowded with equipment and/or people Ability to work comfortably around special effects including, but not limited to: haze, strobe lights, lasers, etc. Ability to work in loud environments Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs Must be able to walk up to 0.5 miles to and from designated employee parking areas, including in varying earther conditions and during high-traffic event times Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays Must be able to work in cold/hot indoor and outdoor temperatures Must be able to climb ladders, kneel, bend, stoop, and squat without any physical movement restriction Must be able to work comfortably at high heights using man lifts, truss, ladders, and catwalks We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
