Koa Surf Lessons opens 10/1/26 in Fort DeRussy. We're looking to hire 1-2 surf photographers to join our team! This is the dream lifestyle job, get paid to play in the surf all day. If you like the ocean, this is the job for you. Being able to surf, and feeling comfortable on a board is more important than photography experience :). Payment is a combination of hourly and sales commission. We're looking for part-time or full-time employees.

Must already be living on Oahu.

Koa Surf Lessons LLC will be opening 10/1/2026. We'll be taking over the beach concession in Fort DeRussy. We value kindness and integrity above all else.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR 1.

No Photography Experience Needed, But a Plus . All employees will be trained on taking photos and using equipment. 2. Should Be Extroverted or Capable of Being Extroverted for Periods of Time . You will be interacting with and selling to lots of new people everyday. This job is best suited to someone who can easily talk with strangers. 3. Higher Aspirations . You should have goals beyond being a photographer for us, either professional, educational, or related. 4. Love of Water Sports . We're looking for people who love everything about the ocean, and prefer people who can already surf. 5. Must Be Able to Swim . That's it! GOALS 1. Capture the Best Parts of the Customer Experience . Capture every great moment of our customers' experience on our surf lessons. 2. Assist Instructors When Necessary . Be a positive part of the lesson and an extra set of eyes, ears, and arms. 3. Sell with Kindness . Photographers earn extra commission on photos sold, but we must sell with kindness, humility, and honesty.

DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES 1.

Prepare, Clean, & Maintain Equipment . You'll be responsible for a camera, housing, computer and more. We need to work hard to maximize the lifetime of our equipment. 2. Take Photos & Videos of Every Customer . We do 1-5 lessons (each lesson 1-4 people) at each time slot of 8am, 10am, 1pm, and 3pm. So you'll be potentially shooting 80 people per day! 3. Sort and Sell Photos & Videos . You'll be in charge of presenting and selling each customer their groups photos and videos.
