Studio Portrait & Sports Photographer Derby Photography Granger, IN Job Details Part-time | Full-time $16 - $25 an hour 8 hours ago Qualifications School experience Adobe Photoshop Adobe Lightroom Photography lighting equipment Digital photography software Experience working with children Photo editing Full Job Description Position Summary We are seeking a skilled, creative photographer with experience in sports, studio portraits, and/or commercial photography. This position will photograph athletes, teams, seniors, families, children, schools, businesses, and organizations both in our studio and on location. Employment & Schedule
  • Full-time or part-time; approximately 20-40 hours per week depending on experience and seasonal demand.
  • $16-$25/hour , based on experience, technical ability, portfolio, assignment type, and camera ownership.
  • Seasonal, freelance, and contract opportunities may also be available.
  • Must be available for evenings, weekends, and peak sports seasons.
  • Local and regional travel may be required.
  • Schedule flexibility is important, as assignments may change based on events, weather, and client needs. Responsibilities
  • Photograph families, children, businesses, commercial, seniors, and sport clients.
  • Capture posed portraits, headshots, action images, team photos, and promotional content.
  • Operate professional cameras, studio lighting, backdrops, and related equipment.
  • Direct individuals and groups through posing and positioning.
  • Work efficiently during high-volume picture days, sporting events, and studio sessions.
  • Edit and retouch images using Photoshop and Lightroom.
  • Maintain consistent quality in lighting, color, composition, and editing.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, parents, coaches, schools, and businesses.
  • Assist with client preparation, ordering, and other studio needs.
  • Properly maintain and transport photography equipment. Qualifications
  • Professional photography experience and a strong portfolio.
  • Comfortable shooting fully manual with DSLR or mirrorless cameras.
  • Experience with studio lighting and sports/action photography.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.
  • Strong understanding of lighting, composition, posing, and color.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional, dependable, and comfortable working with children, families, athletes, and clients.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to assignments. Preferred Experience
  • Studio photography including families, seniors, children, and business portraits.
  • High-volume photography and event photography.
  • Experience with Canon, Nikon, other professional camera systems.
  • Experience working with schools, teams, businesses, and large groups.
Pay:
$16.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 25.0 - 40.0 per week
