Job Description
Position Overview The City of Goddard is seeking an experienced photographer as an independent contractor to capture candid moments and community engagement during the Christmas on Main Stree t event. Photos will be used for marketing, social media, and future promotional materials. Event Covered
- Christmas on Main Street - December 5 - 4:00PM-7:00PM Photography services are not required for Story Time with Santa. Responsibilities
- Arrive at least 30 minutes prior to event start time to set up equipment and adjust camera settings for outdoor and low-light conditions.
- Capture candid photos of attendees, activities, vendors, and key moments throughout the event.
- Photograph families with Santa in the designated photo area.
- Work collaboratively with Santa and event staff to manage the photo line efficiently.
- Attend a pre-event walkthrough meeting with Santa, the sound technician, and event staff. Equipment The photographer must provide their own:
- Professional camera equipment
- Lighting equipment
- Tripod or camera stand The City and Library will provide the photo set , including:
- Backdrop
- Chair
- Decorated photo area Deliverables
- 10-15 preview images provided the evening of the event for immediate social media use.
- Full gallery delivered to the City of Goddard no later than December 11 at 2:00 PM. Rights and Usage All submitted images must be released to the City of Goddard with an irrevocable, royalty-free, perpetual license for any lawful use, including marketing, social media, website, and promotional materials. Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience photographing events.
- Ability to capture outdoor and low-light photography.
- Ability to capture candid moments and community engagement. Applicants should provide sample images demonstrating similar work. Requirements
- Background check required
- Completion of W-9 form
- Signed photo release agreement
- Participation in event walkthrough
- Signed independent contractor agreement Compensation Payment will be split as follows:
- 50% paid the day of the event
- 50% paid upon delivery of the full photo gallery
