EVANGEL UNIVERSITY VIDEOGRAPHER/PHOTOGRAPHER JOB DESCRIPTION DIVISION
: University Marketing & Communication
CLASSIFICATION
: Exempt, 12 months; Full-Time, 40 hours Position Summary The Evangel University Videographer/Photographer plans, produces, and delivers high-quality photo and video content that tells the Evangel story across academics, athletics, student life, advancement, and enrollment marketing. From concept through final edit, this role partners with University Marketing and campus stakeholders to develop narratives, create storyboards, schedule and execute shoots, and manage post-production for distribution across web, social, email, events, and other channels. This role plays a key role in shaping the visual identity of Evangel University and enhancing engagement with prospective students, alumni, and the broader community. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with Marketing & Communications Managers and campus partners to translate stories and initiatives into photo/video projects. Build production schedules, coordinate locations, talent, and logistics. Capture compelling footage and stills (interviews, b-roll, events, classes, podcasts, and studio/field shoots). Set up and operate cameras, lighting, and audio; ensure technical quality and brand consistency. Edit videos (rough cut to final), color-correct, mix audio, add graphics/captions, and export for multi-channel delivery. Produce photography for campaigns, headshots, events, and editorial needs; perform retouching and asset prep. Maintain organized media/project files and a searchable digital asset library. Optimize content for platform specs and accessibility (captions, alt text). Support live and recorded coverage of major university events as needed (some evenings/weekends). Qualifications Bachelor s degree in film/media, photography, communications, or related field-or equivalent professional experience. Demonstrated portfolio of video and photography work spanning concept, production, and post-production. Proficiency with professional camera systems, lighting/audio, and non-linear editing (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro/DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut) and Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop/Lightroom/After Effects or equivalent). Strong storytelling, project management, and on-deadline execution. Preferred Experience producing content for higher education, nonprofits, or brand marketing. Motion graphics, podcast/video-podcast workflows, and multi-camera/live-event experience. Understands and supports the mission of Evangel University and has a desire to serve Evangel University. Evangel University or AGTS graduate preferred. Work Conditions Full-time, on-site role with occasional evening/weekend assignments and limited travel for shoots and events.
