Able to effectively educate patients, family members and co-workers on DME products, orthopedic devices. Ability to interact positively with physicians, clients and co-workers. Effective and clear written, verbal and non-verbal communication, pleasant and effective telephone communication skills. Apply basic computer skills to proficiently use variety software application such as Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Records. Authorize/pre-cert insurance for orthopedic devices, initiate self
  • pay Items as needed Track, organize, restock and dispense inventory regularly.
Take measurements/ fit patient for functional/ OA bracing when needed. Will move between the locations as scheduled for coverage. Additional Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned. Education High School Equivalent / GED (Required) Work Experience 3+ years DME technician, Orthopedic Technician or Athletic trainer (Preferred) and Experience in cast application and splinting (Preferred) Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Understanding of purpose and goals of orthopedic treatments and devices. (Preferred proficiency) Knowledge of sterile technique. (Preferred proficiency) Ability to relate well to other people and be considerate of their conditions. (Required proficiency) Displays the ability to work in a team environment. (Required proficiency) Able to multi-task and work independently.
