Overview We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Multi-Media Journalist to join our vibrant news team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of storytelling, utilizing your skills in journalism, videography, photography, and social media to craft compelling news content across multiple platforms. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in digital journalism while making a meaningful impact through impactful storytelling. This individual will serve the Hennessey and Kingfisher Communities. Responsibilities Covering community events and public meetings Reporting breaking news Writing feature stories Creating Content for our Newspaper, websites, and social media platforms. Qualifications A good understanding of computers, digital media, and social media is essential. Strong writing, spelling, and grammar skills are a must. The ideal candidate will be comfortable talking with people, asking questions, and building relationships throughout the community. Photography experience is a plus, but we're willing to train the right candidate. While the primary coverage area will be Hennessey, there will be occasional assignments in Kingfisher and Enid.

Requirements:

Must be at least 21 years old Have a dependable vehicle and a valid driver's license Be available to work some evenings, weekends, and daytime assignments Be outgoing, self-motivated, and able to meet daily deadlines Have strong communication, writing, and organizational skills No journalism degree is required. We're looking for the right person with the right attitude, curiosity, integrity, and a willingness to learn.
