Job Description

Multimedia Content Creator Grounded RV Detroit, MI Job Details Full-time 18 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Paid time off Qualifications Digital photography software Full Job Description Detroit, MI (in-person) About Grounded Grounded is a 25-person Detroit-based startup building modular electric platforms for specialty vehicles. We take cab chassis from OEMs like Ford and Harbinger and build configurable vehicle systems on top, serving mobile healthcare, RVs, command centers, food and beverage, pet care, and more. Our customers include Colgate, Nokia, the AIDS Healthcare Foundation, and Portland PD. We've raised ~$5M in VC funding and are shipping vehicles in market today. We also build our own software: a mobile app, fleet dashboard, and onboard computer system that lets customers monitor and control vehicle systems remotely. We design, fabricate, and assemble everything in-house at our facility in Corktown. About the Role We build genuinely cinematic things — electric RVs in the wild, mobile clinics, command centers, food trucks — and almost none of it has been captured well. We're looking for a multimedia content creator to change that: a one-person creative studio who can shoot it, edit it, color it, design around it, and even render it in 3D. This is a craft-first role. You live in the work — a camera in the factory one day, chasing golden hour with an RV in the mountains the next, cutting a customer testimonial after that. You'll own the full production pipeline across photography, video, motion, 3D, and graphic design, and turn it into content for our website, social channels, and sales materials. If you have a reel that makes people stop scrolling and you'd rather be behind a camera than in a strategy deck, this is your role. What you'd actually do Own multimedia production end to end — photography, videography, and cinematography, then editing, color grading, and finishing Film on-site inside our Corktown factory: technicians building vans, engineers behind the scenes, and the real process of making a vehicle Shoot our vehicles in the wild — RVs in nature, on location, and in the environments customers actually use them Capture customer stories: testimonials, delivery-day shoots, and on-site customer content Create 3D models and renderings to visualize vehicle configurations and concepts that don't exist yet Design graphics and sales materials — decks, one-pagers, spec sheets, and web/social assets — with a consistent brand look Edit for every channel: short-form vertical for social, longer pieces for YouTube and the website, and polished cuts for sales Build and maintain an organized media library of footage, photos, and brand assets Partner with sales, engineering, and leadership to turn builds, launches, and milestones into content What we're looking for A portfolio/reel that shows range across photography and video — this matters more than years of experience You personally shoot and edit — strong with a camera and with an editing/color suite (Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut, or similar) Photo editing and color grading skill across both stills and motion Graphic design ability (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma) for sales materials and brand assets A strong visual and storytelling eye — you can make a factory floor or a parked van look cinematic Self-directed and hands-on — you thrive owning production end to end with zero hand-holding Based in or able to be on-site in Detroit, and willing to travel for location and customer shoots — this role can't be remote Nice-to-haves 3D modeling and rendering (Blender, Cinema 4D, KeyShot, or similar) Motion graphics and VFX (After Effects) Drone / aerial cinematography Automotive, hardware, or product content experience Social-first instincts — you know what performs on each platform Benefits Health insurance Paid time off Equity in the company
