Job Description

Newport National Golf Club deemed the "Number One Public Access Course in New England" by New England Golf Monthly. Legendary golf architect, Arthur Hills, designed the challenging 7,244-yard Orchard Course. The 18-hole links-style course sports sloping fairways, marshes, and strategically placed bunkers. The dramatic setting boasts views of the Atlantic Ocean and Sakonnet Passage while challenging golfers with steady winds coming off Narragansett Bay. Golfweek Magazine placed the course in the "Top Twenty New Courses in America". Our newly constructed 20,000 square foot Club House, and additional 9-hole golf course, and practice facility is now open.
Overview Start Date:
ASAP Must be able to work weekend days. 16 to 24 hours per week. Overview Primary Role is to ensure all players have paid and players tee off at their scheduled tee time. When not on the first tee he/she will be checking the course for any problems and pace of play.
Responsibilities:
Check to see if all players have paid before teeing off. Drive around the golf course for any vandalism Make sure you have an up to date tee sheet Keep pace of play moving Communicate to the Pro shop of any problems or concerns Enforce club rules regarding course etiquette (filling divots, raking bunker, fixing pitch marks) When needed assist Outside operations with carts or other said duties Performs other duties as directed by his/her supervisor Benefits
