This position requires transportation to cover local events (Irving/Coppell/Grand Prairie/Cedar Hill/Duncanville/ DeSoto/Hutchins/Lancaster), interview attendees, take photographs and video, and write articles within prescribed deadlines. We are looking for a creative and experienced writer who is self-motivated and has a passion for local community journalism. Prior news writing and/or photography experience is a plus. Pay range reflects potential pay per piece submitted, with writers typically receiving 1-3 articles per week.
