Job Description
The Student Checkout Assistant will be responsible for assisting UVU Digital Media students and faculty with UVU cinema equipment and space. The individual will also pursue learning old and new film and television industry equipment. Gaining hands-on experience that can be taught to students and faculty. Student Checkout Assistant will learn to maintain and repair film and television industry equipment. Equipment Checkout for students. Maintaining equipment and production spaces. Assist Faculty and Staff as needed. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Must be a current UVU student. Intend to pursue the cinematography track in the Digital Cinema Program. Hands-on experience with industry grip, electric, and camera equipment. Ability to lift over 50lbs consistently. Ability to bend, stand, and walk for extended periods of time. Knowledge of Grip, Electric, and Camera Equipment commonly used in the film and television industry. Knowledge of common practices and safety procedures used in the film and television industry. Maintain familiarity with the Digital Cinema spaces and equipment. Maintain a consistent schedule according to position responsibilities. Skilled in resource management. Demonstrate excellent organizational skills.
