Position Summary Bring the magic of the holidays to life! We are seeking detail-oriented, creative Holiday Decorators to handle the aesthetic setup and styling of WinterWorld at CarMax Park. This role focuses on the visual artistry of the festival—transforming artificial trees, green spaces, Santa's Workshop, and themed lounges into breathtaking, picture-perfect environments. If you have an eye for design, enjoy hands-on crafting, and love making spaces look festive, this is the perfect role for you. Key Responsibilities •
Tree Prepping & Fluffing:
Unpack, assemble, and meticulously shape ("fluff") hundreds of artificial Christmas trees of all sizes to ensure a full, realistic, and premium appearance. •
Themed Decorating:
Dress trees, garlands, and wreaths with ornaments, picks, toppers, and ribbons according to specific design themes and color palettes. •
Ambiance Staging:
Arrange holiday props, vignette furniture, and festive scene elements in high-traffic areas like Santa's Workshop and the 21+ holiday lounge to maximize photo opportunities for guests. •
Garland & Wreath Styling:
Unroll, shape, and securely hang pre-lit greenery along concourses, railings, entrance gates, and vendor chalets. •
Aesthetic Quality Control:
Inspect decorated areas to ensure no wires are showing, ornaments are evenly distributed, and the overall visual ambiance meets high-production festival standards. •
Tear-Down Prep:
Carefully un-decorate, wrap, and label fragile ornaments and decor pieces during the post-season pack-out in January. Qualifications & Physical Requirements • Eye for
Detail:
Strong visual/spatial awareness with a passion for interior design, visual merchandising, crafting, or holiday decorating. •
Manual Dexterity:
Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements (shaping branches, tying bows, placing hooks) for extended periods. •
Physical Stamina:
Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and kneeling on stadium surfaces throughout a shift. •
Ladder Comfort:
Ability to work safely on standard stepladders (6ft to 12ft) to decorate upper tree branches and hang garland. •
Weather Adaptability:
Willingness to work in both indoor climate-controlled spaces and open-air stadium concourses. •
Team Player:
