Job Description

Epoch Design is a family-owned business that supplies Fortune 500 companies (Costco, Amazon, Chewy, Lowe's, Home Depot, Ace Hardware, Wayfair, and more) with consumer goods including children's and adult bedroom furniture, high-security residential locking mailboxes, and collapsible aluminum dog kennels - all designed in-house by our small team. We also sell directly to consumers through our company websites. This is an in-person position based at our Arlington, WA headquarters. We're open to full-time or part-time depending on the right candidate — for example, 3 days a week in person is workable. This role is not eligible for remote or hybrid work, given the hands-on nature of the photo/video work involved. We offer full health, dental, and vision benefits to full-time employees, an HSA option, a discretionary company-funded profit-sharing plan, a 401(k) with 4% contribution match, and paid vacation and personal time. To learn more about us, visit: www.epochbydesign.com • www.mailboss.com • www.k9kennelboss.com, or find us on Facebook and Instagram. About the Role We are looking for a Videographer / Photographer / Content Editor to help build out our in-house creative capacity across Mail Boss and K9 Kennel Boss. This is a hands-on role — you'll be shooting product photography, lifestyle photography, and video, then editing your own footage into finished content for our websites, social channels, and marketing materials. You'll work out of our in-house photo/video space, currently a functional but still-developing setup (a dedicated area with walls and basic lighting). We're open to investing in additional equipment and upgrades as needed, and would welcome input from the right candidate on what that space needs. You'll collaborate directly with our leadership and designers on shoots, concepts, and direction — this isn't a role where you'll be working in isolation. Furniture photography for Epoch Design is handled by an outside partner and is not part of this role. What You Will Be Doing Shooting product photography for Mail Boss and K9 Kennel Boss (clean, e-commerce and catalog-ready images) Planning and shooting lifestyle video and photography across brands (indoor home/outdoor lifestyle, mailbox curb appeal, product-in-use, dog-related content) Editing your own video footage into finished content for social media, website, and marketing use Producing stop-motion content demonstrating product features (e.g., K9 Kennel Boss crate collapsibility, door operation, mailbox lock operation) Collaborating on creative direction with our in-house team Helping build out an instructional/how-to video library for our products Working within brand guidelines across multiple product lines What We Are Looking For Strong video production and editing skills (portfolio required) Strong product photography skills (clean, well-lit, e-commerce/catalog quality) Strong lifestyle photography skills Strong production and set skills (set design/staging, lighting, audio) Ability to maintain consistent, repeatable shot setups across large product catalogs (multiple SKUs, colors, variants) Comfortable adapting style and tone across multiple brands Strong written communication skills Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple shoots and projects A self-starter who asks good questions and doesn't need to be micromanaged Familiarity with Adobe ecosystem Nice to Have Motion graphics experience (After Effects or similar) — used for animated callouts, text, and explainer-style elements in instructional and product demo videos Graphic design skills Experience creating Amazon-specific product photography or video content (listing images, video ads, A+ Content modules) Studio lighting experience Interest in marketing / supporting product copywriting need Our Culture We are a family-owned company. The office is casual, with around 10 people (not counting warehouse staff) and up to 5 dogs on any given day. Yes, we are dog-friendly as long as the dog is as well-behaved as an average human. We value curiosity, collaboration, and getting things done. If you like variety in your day and want to actually see the impact of your work, this is a great place to grow. Benefits 401(k) with 4% company match (full-time) Health, dental, and vision insurance (full-time employees) Health savings account (HSA) (full-time employees) Paid time off Discretionary profit-sharing plan Schedule & Location In-person, Arlington, WA 98223.
