Non-Exempt General Summary:
The Green Bay Gamblers Hockey Club is currently accepting applications for a Media Relations Internship for the 2026-2027 season. The internship will start in September 2026 and run through April/May of 2027. Candidates must be able to work game nights and weekends throughout the entire season. Applicants should possess excellent people skills, be reliable, timely, willing to learn in a fast-paced environment and be eager to work in sports. As a participant in the Gamblers internship program, you will gain valuable experience in all aspects of the Green Bay Gamblers organization. Previous interns have acquired full-time employment with sports teams of all levels.
Job Duties:
Help promote the Gamblers brand at various events and locations. Assist the marking team in promoting upcoming games. Work with local media outlets to promote Gamblers. Come up with new and creative ideas to highlight promotions, our players and coaches via social media and traditional outlets. Interview coaches and players during the week as well as during and after games. Cut highlights for social media and send them to local media outlets after each game. Write postgame recaps and press releases for upcoming games and events. Assist with any pre- and post-game activities (Set up, tear down, giveaways, etc.). Be able to work up to 10 to 20 office hours per week as needed. Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Possess excellent communication and writing skills. Offer superior customer service. Excellent written and verbal skills Proficient in Microsoft Office and all Social Media Platforms Proficient in Adobe Premier and Photoshop Can work independently and demonstrate initiative.
