Manager of Game Operations & Activation The Wheeling Nailers are expanding their game day broadcast and are looking to hire experienced broadcast replay operators for the 2026-2027 home season.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsible for creating, organizing, recording, labeling, editing, and playing back recorded media before, during, and after productions in conjunction with the broadcast director and content production requests. Follow storylines of a game production and create replays, content, and packages with minimal direction to support the production as needed.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Strong understanding of professional ice hockey, and willingness to continue to learn. This includes rules, key player/games, strategy, and current hockey broadcast trends and best practices. Strong understanding of hockey rules and plays. Ability to discern best camera angles for Replay use. Experience with Replay software and controllers such as NewTek 3Play and VMix are a bonus. Minimum 1 or more years videography/production experience or in a related media field. Read over and comprehend game scripts to discern when replays are needed during a game and when specific events are occurring. Ability to troubleshoot technical broadcast equipment, solve workflow issues, and effectively communicate the issue(s) and resolution(s) as needed. Strong computer and technical skills, solving problems independently, previous work in television/livestreaming broadcasts, previous work in/around hockey, and experience in content creation and use of editing software (Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Blender, etc.), are strong bonuses. Must work playoffs April-June unless excused by supervisor The Wheeling Nailers may require an employee to perform duties outside his/her normal description.
