This hands-on position is responsible for preparing equipment orders, maintaining accurate inventory, completing technical repairs, managing warehouse supplies, and helping lead the warehouse team during busy production weeks. The Lead Warehouse Associate plays a critical role in ensuring every event leaves the warehouse with the correct equipment, accessories, and consumable supplies. The ideal candidate is physically capable, detail-oriented, comfortable leading a small team, and able to balance repetitive warehouse duties with technical repairs and forward planning. What Success Looks Like The Lead Warehouse Associate will: Prepare, inspect, test, organize, and stage equipment for upcoming events. Review event pull sheets and identify required accessories or supporting items that may not be explicitly listed. Ensure equipment orders are complete, accurate, tested, and ready on schedule. Anticipate the equipment and supply needs of the events team. Delegate tasks effectively and help manage a small warehouse team during busy load-in and load-out periods. Communicate with the events team to coordinate equipment preparation and event execution. Communicate with vendors and contractors when additional or specialized equipment is required. Monitor inventory and replenish supplies such as CO₂, dry ice, cold-spark powder, tape, and other production consumables. Maintain accurate inventory records using company inventory-management systems. Diagnose equipment issues and complete technical repairs when possible. Fabricate and repair cables, including soldering work. Perform basic vehicle, warehouse, and facility repairs, including ramp maintenance and E-track installation. Assist with loading and unloading trucks and trailers. Safely maneuver trailers and large box trucks in confined spaces. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse. Perform repetitive warehouse tasks with consistent accuracy and productivity. Help improve warehouse procedures, organization, and operational efficiency. Safety and Equipment Accountability The Lead Warehouse Associate will: Follow and help enforce safe loading, unloading, lifting, vehicle, and warehouse procedures. Inspect equipment before it leaves the warehouse and after it returns. Document missing, damaged, or malfunctioning equipment and coordinate necessary repairs. Maintain accurate equipment locations, inventory counts, and service records. Ensure trucks and trailers are loaded safely, completely, and according to event priorities. Maintain clear aisles, organized storage areas, and safe working conditions. Report safety concerns, damaged equipment, and facility-maintenance needs to the Warehouse Manager. Required Qualifications Experience working in a warehouse, event-production, audiovisual, logistics, or similar operational environment. Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a shift. Ability to lift, carry, load, and manually handle heavy production equipment throughout the workday. Ability to work safely in fluctuating temperatures, including hot summer warehouse conditions. Proven experience maneuvering trailers and large box trucks in confined spaces. Technical maintenance and equipment-repair experience. Ability to solder and fabricate or repair cables. Strong time-management, organizational, and planning skills. Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to anticipate equipment needs. Ability to remain accurate and productive while completing repetitive tasks. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with Google Workspace, including Docs, Sheets, Calendar, and related tools. Ability to delegate tasks and lead a small team effectively. A proactive attitude and genuine interest in helping a growing small business succeed. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting live events or audiovisual production. Familiarity with sound, lighting, video, staging, or special-effects equipment. Experience using inventory-management or event-planning systems such as GSP and DJ Event Planner. Previous warehouse-lead or team-lead experience. Experience maintaining box trucks, trailers, loading ramps, and warehouse fixtures. Familiarity with ordering and handling production consumables such as CO₂, dry ice, and cold-spark powder. Experience conducting inventory counts and maintaining equipment-service records. Schedule and Availability This is a full-time position with a schedule that may vary according to the event calendar. The hourly commitment is 40 hours per work week. The Lead Warehouse Associate must be available for occasional early mornings, evenings, weekends, and extended shifts during busy production periods. Seasonal overtime may be required. Work Environment and Physical Requirements This is an active, hands-on warehouse position. The employee will spend most of the workday standing, walking, lifting, carrying, loading, and organizing production equipment. The warehouse is not fully climate-controlled and may reach or exceed 90°F during summer operations. Team members must be able to perform the essential duties of the position safely in fluctuating temperatures.
