Our Engineering team designs, deploys and maintains systems, with innovative and sometimes one-of-a-kind workflows, for projects shot on virtually every camera technology, from 65mm film to the newest file-based 8K systems. Latest projects include Pluribus, Welcome to Derry (It), The Last Thing He Told Me, Shifting Gears The Role The role of the Swing Episodic Producer is primarily responsible for supporting Senior Episodic Producers who oversee the final technical and creative completion of a broadcast or streaming series. This role not only provides support to producers, it assures timely attention to clients in the later hours of the day to support ongoing and last minute needs. The role requires an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the episodic process, workflows, and tools necessary to accomplish the following tasks: editorial conform, color grading, titling & graphics, SDR & HDR finishing, streaming & broadcast deliverables, and archiving. Primary Responsibilities Track & Manage receipt of all media assets including edls, cdls, luts, vfx, etc., for conform, color, and deliverables to continue moving forward. Flag VFX, Editorial, Graphics, and Sound discrepancies when elements are missing, corrupt, late, or out of sync and communicate to the clients. Manage and take lead in supervised client sessions and communications during evening hours. Prepare work orders and instructions for Artists for the next day. Prepare overnight notes, hot sheets, and special setups for the upcoming day. Take the lead on projects that are occurring in evening hours. Participate and support in technical discussions to improve workflows, communications, and the finishing process. Communicate any concerns with project delivery or client satisfaction to the management team in an immediate and timely manner. Requirements - Experience and Skills 3-5 years experience scheduling or producing in a post production environment. General knowledge of Editorial turnovers (ie: EDLs/AAF/Bin). General knowledge of color science and color transforms (LUTs, P3, XYZ, Rec709/2020). General knowledge of VFX (turnover, plates, support files). Excellent customer service skills. Ability to pick up and take direction from a Senior Producer. Well Organized. Clear communication. Swing Producers require the ability to be autonomous, proactive, and intuitive to client needs. OT is common in the role. Strong working knowledge of Google Suite. Work Environment & Activities Based at FotoKem, Burbank CA. Onsite work. Must speak with clients and team members. Office work setting. Requires the ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods, engage in frequent verbal communication, perform light lifting of equipment, use hands for various tasks and maintain active listening skills throughout the workday. The schedule will be Monday through Friday from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm.
