Job DescriptionNBC4 in Washington, DC is looking for a Platform Manager (Newscast Producer) for its morning newscast, News4 Today.
Responsibilities include:
Responsible for the overall editorial content on one or more platforms produced by WRCServe as one of the primary Line Producers of assigned daily newscastWork with Content Producers to select the most compelling and relevant storiesWork with the production team to ensure smooth and seamless productionsWork with Executive Producer and Assignment Editor to ensure the most complete local news coverageWork with digital team to incorporate social/digital/streaming content into newscastProduce content that can cross platforms for our digital, streaming and OTT apps, and our sister station, Telemundo 44Play an active role in the editorial processWrite, produce, edit video, and gather content for all platformsEffectively manage a pool of Content Producers, coaching and mentoring as neededEnsure fairness, accuracy, and balance in reporting, upholding the standards of NBC4 and NBC NewsThis position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
