Job DescriptionNBC 6 and Telemundo 51 are seeking a bilingual journalist with deep expertise in vertical video editing, social media, and SEO. This role is ideal for a producer who knows how to transform news into compelling, multiplatform content.

This person will play a key role in shaping how our brand connects with audiences across social platforms while continuing to drive traffic to our sites.

Job ResponsibilitiesCreate daily social content—including reels, stories, and carousels—using a variety of sources for multiplatform distribution, while demonstrating consistent, strong news judgmentMonitor a variety of video sources to identify content that would appeal to our audiencesSupport reporters with the creation of original vertical videosStay on the cutting-edge of digital multimedia trends and innovationStay up to date with local and national news storiesCurate YouTube channelsContribute to the creation of video series for OTT, FAST and all platformsCreate content for linear/broadcast platforms, which could include writing scripts or editing videoBe a problem solver who can make decisions under stress and tight deadlinesTranslate content between English and Spanish when neededContribute to enterprise projects that support local news coverageCoordinate and monitor the streaming of live events and newscasts on our platformsAbide by the ethical standards of the NBC News Group and Telemundo Station Group when creating and producing content for all platformsQualificationsMinimum 2 years of multimedia experience at a major news organization that creates content under tight deadlinesProficient with Adobe Premiere and other professional editing programsExperience working with an online publishing tool or content management systemExperience with writing and/or editing and/or producing daily video productsA track record of creative storytelling across multiple web platforms and an understanding of what works best in different platformsBilingual fluency in English and Spanish requiredMust be available to work overtime, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed or requiredMust have a flexible schedule with ability to work any of a 24x7 shift and willingness to travel and work long hours and on weekends and holidays with short noticeMust be willing to work in Miramar, FLMust be 18 years or greaterMust have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United StatesMust be willing to work in high-risk emergency situations, including hurricanesTeam player mentalityDesired CharacteristicsExceptional communication skills.

Experience writing scripts, captions, and text for video graphics.

Excellent news instincts with the ability to react decisively to breaking news.
