This is an exciting opportunity for someone who understands the podcast industry and wants to play an important role in building a new show from the ground up. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, creative, proactive, and experienced in podcast production, particularly guest outreach, interview preparation, episode planning, publishing, and social media promotion.
Research and identify relevant potential guests; reach out and manage invitations; coordinate scheduling and communication; maintain an organized guest pipeline.
Interview & Episode Preparation:
Research each guest; work with the host to develop thoughtful questions, talking points, and follow-ups; help shape episode topics and editorial direction.
Podcast Management:
Manage the production calendar; coordinate with the separate audio/video production team; track recordings, completed episodes, release dates, and promotional plans.
Publishing & Distribution:
Publish completed episodes to appropriate podcast platforms; prepare episode titles, descriptions, show notes, and supporting copy; ensure proper distribution.
Social Media & Audience Growth:
Develop a social media strategy for each episode; post and promote episodes across relevant platforms; create posting schedules; coordinate promotional clips; identify opportunities to grow reach, engagement, followers, and subscribers.
Important:
No Audio or Video Editing Required This position does not require audio or video editing. A separate production team will handle editing and technical post-production. The Podcast Producer will focus on the editorial, organizational, guest-management, publishing, and promotional aspects of the podcast. Qualifications Previous professional experience producing or managing podcasts. Experience identifying, contacting, and booking podcast guests. Strong research and interview-preparation skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and project-management abilities. Experience publishing and distributing podcasts. Knowledge of major podcast platforms and social media channels. Experience developing social media strategies and promoting podcast content. Ability to work independently, take initiative, and help build systems for a new podcast. Experience launching a podcast from the beginning is a strong plus.
