A Producer plans and coordinates elements needed to create a film, television show, theater production, musical production or radio show. Works with writers, composers and artistic directors to develop ideas and scripts; oversees rehearsals or production schedule and budget; recruits financing to support production and marketing costs; negotiates distribution agreements. May also work on television or radio advertisements.
Ability to create topical marketing materials to support our newscast. Will be able to write, shoot, light, direct, edit, and produce topical video for all platforms -web, on-air, social media, and more.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strong graphics background with the use of Final Cut and the Adobe Suite of Products. Write, edit, and shoot for content for all platforms Require staffing/shooting on evenings and/or weekends for shoots and community events. Schedule, create, and manage all promotional/production needs for Sales, including client commercials, sales presentations, graphic toolkits for sponsored news promotions Copywriting, visual storytelling, videography, non-linear editing, and graphic design Work with our news team to promote daily stories and image campaigns across all platforms Stay on top of trends in marketing, social media, video production, and motion graphics
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or experience in on-air cable, broadcast, or post-production house Minimum 2 years experience in non-linear editing and shooting experience is preferred Strong aptitude for new technology Extensive writing portfolio and samples Must have a valid driver's license and a driving record complaint with our Vehicle Driving Safety Policy Self-directing, self-motivating, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Good eyesight and hearing, ability to walk upstairs and sometimes long distances, ability to lift weights up to 20 pounds, ability to sit for a long period of time, ability to handle often stressful situations under deadline, good manual and overall physical dexterity.
