Job Description

Job Summary Direct daily production operations through production planning, personnel management, quality control, resource management, equipment setup, and safety guidelines. Report to Chief Operations Officer. Performance Dimensions and Tasks 1. Operations Develop and improve production processes. Review production schedules and customer orders. Analyze production data, monitor performance, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity while reducing cost. Write production reports. 2. Personnel Participate in the hiring, training, and evaluation of personnel. Schedule production staff to maintain necessary line coverage. Determine overtime needs. Train new personnel to perform the basic functions of the job. Ensure they are supervised and not left to perform independently prior to satisfactory training. Provide quality guidance to new employees to ensure compliant practices. 3. Communication Collaborate with other departments to maintain production efficiency. Work with purchasing and warehouse on supply needs. Direct equipment repair needs or preventative maintenance to the maintenance department. Coordinate with Quality Assurance to maintain food safety standards and product specifications. Assist Human Resources in evaluation and forecast of job needs. 4. Company Representative Speak on behalf of department and the company to customers, visitors, and company personnel. Understand and clearly explain department function and process in a professional manner. Collaborate with and follow instruction of customers and visitors as needed to produce, package, and store highest quality product to specification.

$85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
