In this pivotal role, you will oversee the entire production process, ensuring that products are manufactured efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. Your leadership will drive continuous improvement initiatives, foster a safety-first environment, and coordinate cross-functional teams to meet production goals. Responsibilities Own daily and weekly production results, including schedule attainment, backlog reduction, throughput, labor hours, and on-time delivery. Translate the production plan into clear shift, department, and work-center priorities; communicate what must be completed, by when, and with what resources. Work closely with planning and materials teams to confirm that labor, tooling, boards, terminals, components, and work instructions are available before jobs are released to the floor. Identify capacity shortfalls, bottlenecks, and schedule risks early; develop recovery plans and escalate decisions that require additional labor, overtime, equipment, or supplier support. Balance labor across assembly, molding, presses, and other production areas to maximize completed work. Lead daily production meetings and maintain visible follow-through on actions, due dates, and results. Maintain a safe workplace and enforce all environmental, health, safety, machine-guarding, PPE, and work-practice requirements. Partner with Safety, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance to correct hazards and prevent recurrence of incidents. Ensure employees follow approved work instructions, inspection requirements, testing standards, and documentation practices. Collaborate with Planning, Customer Service, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Human Resources to resolve constraints and meet commitments. Experience 5+ years of progressive experience in a manufacturing environment, including at least three years leading production employees, team leads, or supervisors. Demonstrated success improving production performance, reducing past-due work, managing labor to a schedule, and holding teams accountable for measurable results. Working knowledge of production scheduling, capacity planning, standard work, labor efficiency, quality systems, safety requirements, and continuous improvement. Ability to interpret production data and use an ERP or manufacturing system to manage priorities and performance. Strong shop-floor presence with the ability to communicate clearly, make timely decisions, resolve conflict, and follow through. Flexibility to support alternate shifts, overtime, or weekends when required by customer demand or recovery plans. Preferred but not required Associate or bachelor's degree in manufacturing, engineering, operations, business, or a related field. Equivalent manufacturing leadership experience will be considered. Experience in electrical components, assembly, plastics, stamping, machining, or a mixed-process manufacturing environment. Experience with Lean manufacturing, root-cause problem solving, visual management, daily accountability systems, and supervisor development. Experience leading a turnaround, backlog recovery, capacity expansion, or significant on-time-delivery improvement.
