Media Star Promotions, a Baltimore-based experiential marketing agency working with national and Fortune 500 brands, is looking for a Creative Production Manager to join our creative team. We're looking for someone who understands both great design and how things actually get made. This role sits bridges traditional design, print production and custom fabrication, helping take creative concepts from an idea through final execution. You'll work alongside our Creative Director, design team and Event Producer to make sure projects are technically sound, production-ready and beautifully executed. One day you may be reviewing a large-format print file before it goes to production. The next, you're getting estimates for a custom fabrication, troubleshooting materials with a vendor or jumping in to help build an experiential activation. If you're equally comfortable in Adobe Illustrator, MS Excel and with hand tools, we'd love to meet you. What You'll Do Pre-Production/Production Prepare, modify and troubleshoot production-ready artwork for large-format graphics, signage, environmental graphics and custom fabrication. Review creative files before release to vendors to ensure production specifications are correct- checking dimensions, scale, resolution, bleeds, color setup, etc. Review proofs, samples and prototypes to ensure the finished product matches the approved creative. Identify production challenges before they become expensive problems. Estimating & Vendor Management Develop project specifications and obtain estimates from printers, fabricators and specialty production partners. Review and compare pricing, materials, production methods and timelines. Manage vendor projects from initial estimate through proofing, production and final delivery. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing vendors while identifying new production resources and capabilities. Help our internal teams understand production costs, options and lead times during the planning process. Creative Production Partner with designers to translate creative concepts into practical, buildable solutions. Recommend materials, substrates, finishes and fabrication methods that balance creative vision, durability, budget and schedule. Support the production of branded environments, displays, signage, pop-ups, event elements and experiential activations. Help keep creative projects moving from design through production and installation. Get Your Hands Dirty Jump in when needed to build, assemble and finish custom experiential elements. Work with vinyl, graphics, substrates, adhesives, hardware and other fabrication materials. Use basic hand and power tools for assembly and fabrication. Assist with painting, mounting, finishing, packing and installation. Occasionally support on-site installations and event execution. What matters is that you understand how creative work moves from a computer screen into the physical world. Ideally, you'll bring: 5+ years of experience in creative production, print production, environmental graphics, fabrication, exhibits, events or a related field. Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, with working knowledge of Photoshop and InDesign. Solid understanding of preproduction and production file setup. Experience working directly with printers, fabricators and specialty vendors. Knowledge of large-format printing, signage, vinyl graphics, substrates and fabrication techniques. Strong estimating, organizational and project-management skills. Excellent attention to detail—you notice the 1/8-inch problem before 100 pieces get produced. Comfort working with basic tools and participating in hands-on fabrication. The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines without losing track of the details. A practical, resourceful approach to problem-solving. Experience with SketchUp or other 3D programs is a plus, but not required. The Details This is a full-time, 100% in-person position at our Hunt Valley, Maryland office. Our standard office hours are Monday-Friday, 10:00 AM-6:00 PM . Because experiential marketing happens in the real world, occasional early mornings, evenings, weekends and travel may be required for installations and events. The role includes both desk-based creative production work and hands-on fabrication. Candidates should be comfortable safely using basic tools, working in production environments and lifting materials or project elements up to approximately 40 pounds. Interested? Send us your resume along with examples of projects you've helped take from concept or artwork through production.
