The role serves as the primary leader for production personnel while coordinating closely with Scheduling, Quality, Manufacturing, and Maintenance.

Lead the Production Team Your primary responsibility is to provide leadership and direction to production employees and Production Team Leads. Responsibilities Create a safe, productive, and accountable work environment. Coach and develop technical talent in all areas of the production shop. Coach and mentor PTLs (Production Team Leaders) and working leads. Hold employees accountable for productivity, quality, attendance, and work performance. Support employee development and training. Ensure staffing levels are appropriate for workload requirements. Maintain documentation related to employee performance and counseling. 2. Own Quality and Problem Resolution Production Managers play a key role in preventing and resolving quality issues. Responsibilities Act as a technical resource for trouble-shooting machinery and/or process-related issues as they arise Support resolution of MRB and Nonconformance (NC) issues. Address problems involving parts in production, quarantine, or customer returns. Work closely with Quality personnel with regards to priority of projects to review, as well as ensuring product meets customer intended specifications. Ensure our QMS specifications for part conformity align with customer print and CAD documentation. Ensure operators understand how to inspect parts and read blueprints. 3. Drive Daily Production Performance The Production Manager is responsible for keeping work moving through the factory efficiently. Responsibilities Monitor production schedules and workload capacity. This entails communication with 1st Shift Production managers to set 2nd Shift priorities and maintain continuity of workload. Evaluate production efficiency and throughput. Update run times and manufacturing process information. Prioritize jobs to meet customer delivery requirements. Review Open Order Reports and production status. Follow up on Late Laser, Turret, Blank, and Press reports. Work with Scheduling to ensure jobs are staged and completed on time. Identify bottlenecks and remove obstacles impacting throughput. 4. Maintain Safety, ComplianceShop Discipline The Production Manager is responsible for maintaining a safe and organized workplace. Key Expectations Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and applicable regulations. Enforce company policies and procedures. Promote housekeeping and well-organized work areas. Maintain document traceability and production records. Reinforce expectations for attendance, conduct, and workplace discipline policies. 5.
